~Christi's thoughts~ THIS REVIEW CAN CONTAIN SPOLIERS! I will always try to not give too much away but you have been warned. This was THE brother I was looking forward to reading when I met the all the brothers in Dark Lover. Rage . . .swoon. . . the vampire tormented with a curse all his own meets Mary a woman who is dealing with a curse all her own. What a couple huh... Wait till you read their story. You also meet a few of the other players in the BDB story line in this book. Mary finds a kid who is unable to speak but she knows sign language and is able to speak with and for him. While hanging out at the pool Mary introduces Johnathon to Bella. Bella notices something that only vampires would know or recognize and knows there has to be more to Johnathon then maybe he even knows. She gets ahold of the brotherhood and is told to bring him to them. Mary being the only one who can understand Johnathon gets to come along. That is when Mary meets Rage......Rage dealing with the aftermath of his anger knows he is not alone in the hall of the house they all live in. Whoever this person is in the hall he knows three things.... it is female , she is sick and he can not get enough of her voice. So much so he has her say the word nothing over and over again. Her voice is such a drug to him that she could have said antidisestablishmentarianism and it would have been the sexiest word he had ever heard. To bad she would not remember ever coming to the brotherhoods place and meeting him.......Aren't we glad Rage is a little more into getting what he wants?Watching Rage and Mary come together is beautiful. She is so timid and shy about herself for she views herself as damaged, ugly and plain but Rage sees her as nothing shy of perfect. The torture you feel as you read how much Rage loves her but is affraid to be with her due to his curse is felt in every word J.R writes. All I can say is their story will leave you breathless. This book is a must read for it holds key points that build the story line of the series as a whole. This book will also have you yerning for the next brothers story. So what are you waiting for go grab your copy and answer for yourself. . .Do I wanna read this?

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There also exists a secret band of brothers like no other - six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Among them, none relishes killing their enemies more than Wrath, the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood...
The only purebred vampire left on the planet, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But when one of his most trusted fighters is killed- orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate - Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead…
Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn't there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both…

So after reading A LOT of tween books with my daughter I needed a MOMMIE book series if you know what I mean. If you don't then the nice way of saying a mommie book is a lil romance and make your toes curl sexiness. Boy oh boy did I find that and so much more in this series. At the end of reading the books that were out I purchased the campanion to this series THE BLACK DAGGER BROTHERHOOD: AN INSIDER'S GUIDE. Let me tell you it answered questions plus gave me an inside look at just what happens when the men in your head fight to be put on paper. I highly recommend you get this book to go along with your series.
Now onto Wrath and Beth and Dark Lover.
Mrs. Ward has taken vampires to a whole new level and form. You are thrown head first into the world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Darius, one of the oldest of his kind is finally telling Wrath about his daughter who has no clue of her father or the fact she is about to undergo a change that could kill her. Wrath in no way wants anything to do with this task until something horrid happens that takes Beth's father away from not only her but all the brothers. This tragedy brings a very tall ,dark and extreamly handsome stranger into Beth's life and changes everything she has ever known.
Beth learns quickly of the Omega and the Lessers and her father and the fight the brothers wage nightly. She is not alone in all this for her cop friend Butch and his investigative ways gets him smack dab in the middle of all this new mess that is now Beth's life and finds that now he knows too much and might very well have seen the last of his normal life if not his life all together.
I fell in love with brothers with this book. I also couldn't read fast enough to be told about the Omega and the mystery of what it is up to. Yes in this series you will have romance, drama, action and suspence. J.R Ward is a wonderful writer who brings you into the world of the Brotherhood and you will find you do not want to leave. Wrath and Beth are a delicious couple you will devour over and over again. Not to mention all the other brothers...*grin*.
I hope you will pick up this series and agree with me when you ask yourself. . .
Do I wanna read this?
Yes you are seeing the date right. It has been about a month since my last post or review. What can I say life got very busy. BUT i am now making sure the write review time is on the schedule and doesn't get pushed to the side again. I have been reading of course even through all the busyness. I have actually read two series and am on the third right now. After this one though I am going to go back to a series I fell in love with and for some reason it is calling to me to read again and that series is none other then Ann Rice's Mayfair witches. Like I said it has just been calling me to read it again so I will give in for it is an awesome series. For now I am going to close this and get to work on those Brothers. Can't wait for you all to meet them as well as their creator J.R Ward. Happy reading,Christi
