Turns the book over . . .
Bound by the demon of Doubt, Sabin unintentionally destroys even the most confindent of lovers. So the immortal warrior spends his time on the battlefield instead of the bedroom, victory his only concern. . .until he meets Gwendolyn the timid. One taste of the beautiful redhead and he craves more.
Gwen, an immortal herself, always thought she'd fall for a kind human who wouldn't rouse her darker side. But when Sabin frees her from prison, battling their enemies for the claim to Pandora's box turns out to be nothing compared to the battle Sabin and Gwen will wage against love. . .
~Christi's thoughts~ THIS REVIEW CAN CONTAIN SPOLIERS! I will always try to not give too much away but you have been warned.
Finally she says the word series in her welcome!! Oh how I waited not only for this book to be released but for her to finally to say this is so much more then three little books this is a SERIES. Oh how happy that one little word has made me.
Sabin and Gwen... another my my my moment. I just love when a woman can make a head strong demon like Doubt go running for the nearest corner. I think all woman should hold that power. Hear me ladies? Be strong in who you are ,don't let doubt stand in the way of you and what you desire. Ok now that that is off my chest we can get back to Sabin and Gwen. They are truely what a couple should be, one partners weakness being the others strength, being able to bring eachother back to reason when we are so filled with rage, and being able to unconditionaly love eachother.
Gena introduces us to a new immortal , the Harpy. Sabin is with us on our journey of learning who and what a harpy is and surprisingly enough our teacher happens to be non other then Anya. Still not sure if she would make a good teacher but you would never be bored in her class... a little lost but never bored. Gwen, like the rest of our immortals, has rules she has to follow and Sabin is finding it hard to understand them.
This book is amazingly thin compared to the other three yet Gena gives us so much in it. We get to see Aeron and Legion again. I was not sure of where that story line was headed but I was very pleased it didn't go down the lovers road ... I just couldn't have truely understood that. I was also happy that Gena gave us a look at Cameo and Torin's story. I do hope to get to know more of that story one day. Paris is also here but this time he is not sure if he should believe what he sees but his heart sure wants him to. In the end though you will be handed something you never saw coming and it will hopefully have you drooling for the next book.
Gwen did a wonderful job with Darkest Whisper. I am looking very forward getting to know the rest of the Lord's but sadness.... the next book is not due out till Janruary. Until then I hope you say yes when asked ....
Do I wanna read this?
