Turns the book Over . . .

A thousand years ago, a brutal warrior struck a terrifying bargain. In return for the ability to change at will into a cold-hearted predator, he promised his soul, and the souls of his descendants, to the devil.
Handsome, powerful Rurik Wilder battles darkness — the darkness without, and the darkness within. For he possesses the power to transform himself into a fierce bird of prey, and that gift has caused death and destruction. At last he is offered the chance to redeem himself and break the evil pact which has held his family in thrall for centuries. Only one woman stands in his way — flamboyant Tasya Hunnicutt, a writer determined to wreak revenge on the assassins who murdered her family. Assassins, it’s been rumored, who have powers no human should ever possess...

~Christi's thoughts ~ This review has the possibility to contain SPOILERS! As with every review I will try my best to NOT give TOO much away.

Rurik, the second son of Konstantine, is on a treasure hunt. This is a treasure unlike any other for this treasure holds answers to questions about his families history and hopefully provides the most valuable treasure of all, the one that will help him break the pact with the devil. The only way to find this treasure is for Rurik to have an Archaeological dig. One that has the attention of Tasya, for reasons unknown to Rurik, and anyone who has an interest in finds of the magnitude.

After a little visit from the Varinski's ,where they cause the whole dig site to collapse and leave Rurik and Tasya for dead, the two start off on an adventure to try and get home to Rurik's mother and father for help against their enemy. All the while Tasya is holding one of the pieces to the relic and the end of the curse.

Rurik and Tasya's story is one of many trials. Both facing their pasts and coming to grips with them. All the while being chased by Rurik's cousins.

I enjoyed Touch of Darkness. The stories for each of the characters sucked me in. I was on the edge of my seat wanting to get the details on Rurik's reason for being so afraid to fly when his whole body was a flying machine. Reading how Tasya comes around to letting Rurik into her heart and seeing that you can not judge someone as a whole but as an individual. Yes there are some very interesting love scenes and Christina does not go the boring route but tells of how couples can worship and explore each other. The action is also in abundance and does not disappoint in the least.

So have you answered yourself yet?

Do I wanna read this?
